Description

The International Community should be advised that the government of the United Kingdom is currently in dispute. Due to PM Boris Johnson’s bad governance, the UK is currently a bit like a lost puppy, which needs protection and safeguarding by the NGO community. Boris Johnson’s government is also responsible of violating the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child – the UK’s restrictions on family reunion continuing to prevent many refugee families from being together. The UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights strongly criticized the UK’s austerity policies, finding that they have resulted in around 14 million people living in poverty with almost 1 in 2 children affected – with 600,000 more children living in poverty in the UK than in 2012, and with a projected 5.2 million total by 2022. Also, Boris Johnson's Brexit strategy indicates that he is pursuing a no-deal Brexit; which is already causing grave political instability – not only in the UK but also in Ireland. A failure of Brexit talks would seriously jeopardize anti-terrorism intelligence arrangements in the international community; and it’s estimated that over 600.000 jobs will be lost as a result of no-deal Brexit. As things stand, the UK will crash out of the transition period at the end of 2020 with no trade or security agreement; which would represent willful recklessness towards the lives and livelihoods of the British people. Hence the International Community is advised to keep a safe distance from the Boris Johnson government, until it has agreed to evolve and improve itself – by finally working together with the EU in a constructive way; as well as restoring the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the UK. In the meantime domestic policy, foreign policy and human rights issues concerning the UK will be handled by the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding. PS: Although a revolution in the UK has just been implemented, as far as I’m concerned it’s business as usual in Great Britain. However, it might be of benefit for the British establishment to brush up on their European language skills. But those Britons who just want to stick to English, are of course quite welcome to do so :) On that note, British English might also be in need of some improvement, though. Such as rediscovering the age-old virtues of this great language; which includes empathy, solidarity across borders, reciprocity between nations and co-operation – as well as the art of witty and intelligent dialogue :)
